FieldNotes - App per Survey sul Campo

FieldNotes ("l'App") è un'applicazione per dispositivi iOS e macOS progettata per ricercatori sul campo nel settore dell'archeologia e dell'etnografia. La presente Privacy Policy descrive come l'App raccoglie, utilizza e protegge i tuoi dati.

Tutti questi dati risiedono esclusivamente sul tuo dispositivo e non vengono trasmessi a server esterni.

Ogni permesso viene richiesto solo quando necessario e puoi revocarli in qualsiasi momento dalle Impostazioni del dispositivo.
L'App offre funzionalità opzionali di intelligenza artificiale che richiedono l'inserimento manuale di chiavi API da parte dell'utente. Questi servizi non sono attivi per impostazione predefinita.
Al primo avvio, l'App mostra una schermata informativa che spiega quali dati vengono inviati ai servizi AI, a chi, e per quale scopo. L'utente deve esplicitamente accettare prima che qualsiasi dato venga inviato a servizi di terze parti. È possibile revocare il consenso in qualsiasi momento da Impostazioni → AI e Trascrizione.
Quando l'utente attiva esplicitamente una funzione AI (dopo aver dato il consenso), vengono inviati al provider selezionato:

Su dispositivi con iOS 26 o successivo, l'App puo' utilizzare Apple Intelligence (Foundation Models) per il riepilogo delle survey, il miglioramento delle note e il suggerimento di tag. Questa elaborazione avviene interamente on-device e nessun dato viene inviato a server Apple.
Su dispositivi con iOS 18 o successivo, l'App utilizza il framework di traduzione integrato di Apple. La traduzione viene elaborata on-device e non comporta l'invio di dati a server esterni.
L'App permette di esportare dati in formato PDF e GeoJSON e di condividerli via email. Questa operazione è interamente sotto il controllo dell'utente e avviene tramite le funzionalità di condivisione del sistema operativo.

FieldNotes ("the App") is an application for iOS and macOS devices designed for field researchers in archaeology and ethnography. This Privacy Policy describes how the App collects, uses, and protects your data.

All this data resides exclusively on your device and is not transmitted to external servers.

Each permission is requested only when needed and you can revoke them at any time from device Settings.
The App offers optional artificial intelligence features that require the user to manually enter API keys. These services are not active by default.
On first launch, the App presents an informational screen explaining what data is sent to AI services, who receives it, and for what purpose. The user must explicitly accept before any data is sent to third-party services. Consent can be revoked at any time from Settings → AI & Transcription.

On devices running iOS 26 or later, the App can use Apple Intelligence (Foundation Models) for survey summaries, note improvement, and tag suggestions. This processing happens entirely on-device and no data is sent to Apple servers.
On devices running iOS 18 or later, the App uses Apple's built-in translation framework. Translation is processed on-device and does not involve sending data to external servers.
The App allows exporting data in PDF and GeoJSON formats and sharing via email. This operation is entirely under user control and uses the operating system's sharing features.
